Berlin Wall

I just went to Berlin for a couple of days together with my friend Mate and we painted on original pieces of the Berlin wall which will be shown there now at an exhibition. We had a nice trip and finished three pieces.
On one piece each one painted one side ...and then we painted one piece together...
here some pictures of the trip and the pieces...
The idea behind the pieces was to find something connected to the history of the Berlin wall...
so I painted the horse from the game of chess...painted it blue because both...the colour blue and the horse stand for freedom. I made the horse glow green from the indside which stands for hope. The horse has a red apple in the mouth which stands for love and the mohawk on the head has the colours of Germany in it.. The chess field starts on the other side of the wall and goes to the front, the colours black and white stand for life and death and as you can see the horse made it through the field and will arrive on the white field on the other side of the wall. Also the game of chess can be seen as a battle or conflict between two groups which mach the history also. Mate worked with two faces kissing each other which stands for the reunion of east and west Germany. He also worked with a hole in the wall and used the colours red and blue a lot which stand for love and freedom. In the back of the faces you have a green light which stands for hope and becomes more white in the front which stands for life.
On the piece we did together we worked with the idea of "key to peace" so we worked with the key ring pendant and added symbols which stand for luck, friendship, freedom etc. The wall works as a door now which opens the way to freedom and hope.

Ich war gerade für ein paar Tage in Berlin mit meinem Freund Mate und wir bemalten original Stücke der Berliner Mauer. Diese Stücke werden nun zusammen mit anderen bemalten Stücken weitererer Künstler ausgestellt.
Insgesammt haben wir 3 Seiten von 2 Stücken bemalt. Ein Stück jeder alleine auf einer Seite und dann noch ein Stück zusammen. Hier ein paar Bilder dazu...
Die Grundidee für die Bilder war es auch die Geschichte der Mauer einzubinden. Beim ersten Stück arbeitete ich mit dem Läufer oder Pferd vom Schachspiel. Ich habe das Pferd in blau gemalt weil beides, das Tier und die Farbe für Freiheit stehen. Das Pferd hat einen roten Apfel im Mund, der für Liebe steht, der Punk auf dem Kopf ist in den Farben von Deutschland eingefärbt. Im inneren des Pferdes sieht man ein grünes Licht, das für Hoffnung steht. Das Pferd befindet sich auf einem Schachfeld, welches auch als Symbol für den Konflikt von 2 Parteien gesehen werden kann. Das Pferd hat es nun über das Schachfeld mit weissen und schwarzen Feldern geschafft (Leben und Tod) und kommt am anderen Ende der Mauer auf einem weissen Feld an. Mate hat mit zwei Gesichtern, die sich Küssen gearbeitet. Diese können für West und Ost Deutschland stehen, die sich wieder vereinigen. Auch farblich hat er mit viel rot und blau (Liebe und Freiheit) gearbeitet und hinten sieht man auch ein grünes Licht, das für Hoffnung steht und nach vorne zu weissem Licht wird, was für das Leben steht..
Beim zweiten Mauerstück haben wir mit dem Thema "Schlüssel zum Frieden" gearbeitet. Die Mauer funktioniert nun als Tor und am Schlüssel hängen viele Symbole die für Freiheit, Freundschaft etc stehen, die den Weg in die Freiheit öffnen.

Mate & Ezra King Kong wall

Mate and I just finished a big wall we did. It was a great collabo because we really worked together well...
The funny thing about the wall is that we didn't have any sketches at all and everything you see just happend while we were painting...

Mate und ich haben gerade eine grosse Wand zusammen fertig gemalt. Wir arbeiteten sehr gut zusammen und ergänzten uns sehr gut. Das lustige an der Wand ist, dass wir ohne Skizzen gearbeitet haben und alles von alleine während dem Malen entstanden ist.

Indian Production

on the weekend I got together with friends and we painted an indian wall...the wall was really big and it took a while untill everything was done...here some pictures of the Sitting Bull mask I did...and the whole production

Am Wochenende habe ich mit Freunden eine Wand zum Thema Indianer gestaltet. Die Wand war riesen gross und es hat eine Weile gedauert bis wir dem Ende zu kamen. Hier ein paar Bilder von der Sitting Bull Holzmaske die ich gemalt habe und von der gesammten Wand...

Carneval wagen…

This week I painted on a carneval wagen which will role through Meggen on Sunday...
It was a job I did...and they asked me to paint something connected to the ocean and connected to carneval of course...so I came up with carneval maskes under water...
It was a lot of work and I am happy and the clients as well...here some pictures...

Diese Woche habe ich einen Fasnachts Wagen für eine Firma bemalt...der am Sonntag in einem Umzug durch Meggen fahren wird. Die Auftraggeber baten mich etwas zum Thema Aquarium -Ozean zu malen...also habe ich schwimmende Fasnachtsmasken gemalt...
Es war reichlich Arbeit und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Resultat...auch die Auftraggeber waren sehr glücklich mit dem Endergebenis...hier ein paar Bilder dazu...

Ezraone & Note @ Camel urbanartstudio

Last week I went to the Camel - urbanartstudio in Zürich together with my friend Note and we put our art up on the wall overthere...we also painted a wooden background fitting my paintings and objects and left the wall white which fits Note's paintings...so you can see the change between wood and the white wall and gives the installation the right touch.

The people really liked our work and you can still go and see the wall live for an other couple days in the urbanartstudio in Zürich at Langstrasse...

Letzte Woche bin ich mit meinem Freund Note zum Camel Urbanartstudio gegangen und wir haben dort unsere Kunst angebracht.
Den HIntergrund haben wir mit Holzstrukturen bemalt und den Rest der Wand weiss gemalt. So entstand eine gute Mischung zwischen den zwei Farben unserer Bilder und den HOlzstrukturen , welche wir abwechselnd darüber aufgehängt haben.

Die Leute vor Ort waren sehr interessiert und unser fertiges Werk fand viel Anklang. Wer die Wand live begutachten möchte, findet die Wand noch für ein paar Tage im Urbanartstudio an der Langstrasse in Zürich.

third week in Hawaii

in the third week I went to Maui...and visited Shone, Tane, Beau and Terra....we had a great time there thanks a lot to you guys.
....went to the jungle to wonderful beaches and enjoyed our selves. I painted a wall at there spot...including the old Hawaiian themes like the tattoos in the face, flowers on the head, the vulcano and 808 Hawaiian code...and mixed it with the beach theme...so hang loose had to be part of it;-).
Thanks to Tane for telling me so much about the Hawaiian culture I really appreciate that...
I have to say..if you go to Hawaii...visit this Island and see some of the real Hawaii what you don't get in Waikiki...

second week in Hawaii

Now the second week in Hawaii is already over...even when everything is really layed back and a little slower time still goes fast...
This week I finally painted ...well not a wall but on a swap meet wagon (Hawaiian market) my new friend Gabriel could organize thanks for that. I painted an Hawaiian Tiki on it wearing a spraymask and holding cans...and added some stuff...I connect with graffiti and Hawaii...like the ring of fires the polinisian do here in shows...or the torches you see everywhere and the glowing palmtrees and of course the rainbows which stand for Hawaii.

Other than that I met more graff people and checked out many places here in Oahu and today I had a special meeting...met a seal at Wikiki Beach...was a special experience too...

On Monday I will fligh out to Maui and paint skateparks at Northshore Maui for the Paia Youth & Cultural Center. Thanks to Shone from Maui Longboards...(www.mauilongboards.com) looking forward to the Maui trip...

First week in Hawaii…

Meine erste Woche auf Hawaii und ich muss sagen, dass sich nichts besser anfuehlt als Sommer im Winter:-)
Hawaii ist ein sehr schoener Ort und die Leute hier sind sehr gemuetlich und freundlich. Bis jetzt war ich an verschiedenen Straenden und besuchte Pearl Harbor - sehr interessanter Ort.
Es war bis jetzt noch nicht moeglich Waende zu bemalen, also war ich im Sand kreativ...hier ein paar Bilder dazu...
naechste Woche werde ich Waende malen...

I spent the first week in Hawaii and have to say that nothing feels better than summer in winter:-). It is a lovely place and people are very melow and layed back here. I have checked a few beaches and pearl harbor which was an interesting experience as well. So far I wasn't able to paint a wall so I got up at the beach as you can see in the following pictures;-)
next week I will paint walls...stay tuned..
